HOTREC Survey on Paid leave, Sick leave and Overtime

In October 2025, HOTREC collected feedback from members regarding paid leave, sick leave and overtime. In sectors like hospitality, where working hours often vary, it is important to understand the national-level conditions for applying overtime and whether employees continue to accrue paid holiday during periods of sick leave. While, in general, most countries follow similar practices in these areas, there are some notable exceptions where differences can be observed.
